The six pack midline is usually just called your midline because very few people actually have abs. Therefore it would be inappropriate to use the entire phrase. But I know that if you follow the suggestions and tips on this website you will have the six pack abs you've always desired.
Your midline I like to consider the Grand Canyon of your abdominal muscles. Why? Simply because the bigger your six pack midline is, the better your abs will look. Once your abs reach a certain muscle size, the rest of your abdominal definition will come from framing your abs and making them stand out as much as possible.
In order to frame your abs you need to focus on your stabilizer muscles and your midline. Your stabilizer muscles are strengthened by doing exercises such as the plank, the side plank, and exercise ball crunches. To learn more about these exercises, check out the best ab exercises page.
Your midline is created from ab exercises that require your torso to rotate from side to side and by being in a static position.
Torso Rotation For Your Six Pack Midline
The best way to work your midline is by doing torso rotations which makes your body go from side to side. There are two exercises that really pinpoint these areas and deepen the attractive cut to your midline:
-
Russian Twist - This exercise is amazing because it meets both requirements to strengthen your stabilizer muscles and to rotate your torso. With this exercise you will be in a sit-up position with your hands across your feet anchored by dumbbells, a couch, or whatever else you can find that gets the job done.
From here your torso will recline to make a 45 degree angle to the floor. Then you will slowly turn to your right side, then your left side, and back to the middle. More information can be found through the link. -
Torso Rotation - This exercise requires a machine that can be found at your local gym, or you can purchase it for your own home
. The machine focuses only on your midline, by turning your lower body from left to right.
This rotation works on the midline, but it also focuses on your entire midline. In turn, it creates a deeper cut on your lower abs assisting in your V-cut as well. It allows you to frame your six pack abs more effectively, giving you that sleek look you are looking for with your ripped abs.

Both of these exercises not only help your six pack abs stand out larger, but they also tone your stomach giving you the flat stomach look as well. This look keeps your six pack midline tight, adding to the overall attractiveness of your abs.
Another very effective way to work on your six pack, while targeting all of the other needed areas of your stomach, is to read Mike's Book. Mike is a certified personal trainer and a nutrition specialist. Following his book dramatically changed my mid-section and can change yours too. Take a moment to read my review.
Don't get too focused on your six pack midline by choosing to give these two exercises preference over the rest of your ab workouts. In order to be successful, you will need to do these exercises along with exercises that target your upper abs, lower abs, obliques, and stabilizer muscles.
This well rounded workout routine along with a good diet and cardio will be your ultimate ticket to your success. The routine will help you lose belly fat and tone your body. Stay consistent and confident, and your goals can be reached!
