If you were to think of your abs as a picture, then to make a picture look better you would put it in a frame. A frame, just like the obliques, adds a border to your abs making them stand out better and increase the appeal of the picture.
Have you ever heard of the term called love handles? Well your side muscles are usually covered up by them depending on the percentage body fat you are. The best way to make your side muscles shine is to start doing cardio daily, immediately followed by some outer core exercises.
Unlike regular abdominal exercises, in order to work your side muscles you will need to focus on side bending exercises to tone this area. Below are the best exercises to target your sides and put the finishing touches on your abs by framing them perfectly.
- Dumbbell Side Bend - The best ab exercises involve the dumbbell side bend. This movement works your side muscles and strengthens your sides, helping to eliminate love handles.
