It is the definition of life. It is the reason we do anything and everything unless it is out of necessity. For example, if you watch a television show every week, you are motivated to do it because you enjoy the show and made a commitment to yourself that you were going to do it.

It can take on all forms, but watching a tv show is the easiest activity to do because you do not have to put a lot of work into it. The real trick in staying persistent on your goal is to focus on smaller goals.

These smaller goals can act like stepping stones, but will get you to the same large goal. For example, if you have a yearlong project to do for school, you aren’t just going to dive in blindly. You are going to set up a plan that breaks down the year into smaller more attainable steps.

With trying to obtain your dream body, your drive level is going to take some serious hits. When you first start, after your first few workouts you might have a few bad ones as your muscles get tired and you cannot seem to muster up enough energy to do the exercises successfully.

This can cause a lack of interest and might even hurt your pride a little, but determination will always prevail. If you have a plan you are even more likely to be successful because you can see it and know what steps you must take to meet your goal.

Stay Motivated

The most important thing you can do to beat laziness and keep your determination going is to just always workout when you planned on it. Never say that you could not find the time today to do it so I will do it tomorrow.

Tomorrow never really comes, which in turn means that you will have missed out on a workout. If you ever feel like you do not want to work out, just drag yourself there and give it a try. Even if it is only for ten minutes, getting your heart rate up and putting some strain on your body will do the body good.

Plus, you never really know how you might feel afterwards. When the heart starts pumping, your mood will usually increase in happiness. So the end result could be that you come out of the workout feeling good about yourself and with a better view on life, even though you went into the workout not motivated.
