The reality of belly fat is it takes work and patience. Whether you are striving for a flat stomach, six pack abs, or you simply don’t want a gut anymore, the factors that need to be addressed in order to reach your goals are listed below.

The way you eat is essential in the process of losing weight. Belly fat takes time to accumulate around your body, which means that it will take time to get rid of it. The body stores fat as a way to conserve energy for when your body runs out of protein. If you are someone that tends to watch television for multiple hours a day or someone that sits around a lot, you are living a sedentary lifestyle. This means that your body never gets the opportunity to burn off what you feed it. It’s important to find an athletic activity you love to do, and do it.

Whether it’s tennis, walking, running, swimming, or whatever you can think of… if it allows your heart rate to be increased for a period of time (preferably at least 30 minutes), the better the benefits you will receive.
