Ab Workouts With High Intensity Training

High intensity training is the ultimate way for your core exercise workouts. High intensity training is the ultimate way for your core exercise workouts. Incorporating this into your routine will dramatically increase the difficulty making all best ab exercises you do all the more effective.

In order to do this correctly you need to take absolutely no breaks in between sets. This means you will go from one set directly into another. The largest complaint about this is that people don’t want to do 4 sets of the same exercise without breaks because it’s too monotonous. In order to conquer this boredom, you will want to do your ab workouts in super sets.

Supersets use two different exercises to prevent you from taking breaks and to prevent boredom. What you do is switch back and forth from one exercise to the next until you complete the desired number of sets with each exercise.

For example, let’s say you wanted to do 4 sets of the Hanging Leg Raise and 4 sets of the Dumbbell Side Bend. To perform supersets while utilizing high intensity training, you would do one set of hanging leg raises, then immediately do a set of dumbbell side bends. You would continue alternating in between the two different exercises without breaks until you did 4 sets of each exercise.

Reaching Your Muscle Limit

When you do these types of intense ab workouts, you will reach your muscle’s limit. This is known as muscle exhaustion. You will know when you get to this point because your body won’t be able to do another rep.

At this point most you can do one of two actions. You can just end the workout and come back the next day for your workout routine or you can start taking breaks and continue your workout.

In most situations, you should do the second option, but if you are experiencing pain you should stop your workout. Reaching your muscle limit is the goal of all ab workouts. It’s proof that your workout is tiring the abdominals which will encourage it to build more muscle.

When you continue your exercises, try to do as many as you can and take breaks of thirty seconds to a minute in between each set. This small amount of time will give your abs enough rest to crank out a few more reps. In turn, it will make the entire workout more effective!

Understanding Your Ab Workouts

Having an ab workout routine and actually knowing the best way to utilize your workout plan can be the difference between having a small belly or an actual six pack and beautiful flat stomach. First you need to create a workout plan, these plans can be as short as a two exercises and can go as high as two hours.

For most workout enthusiasts though, it is a good idea to never go over one hour of exercising. Your body after this amount of time will start to shut down and the effects of your exercises will not be as effective. Plus if you are taking this long to break down your muscle, you are not getting a good enough workout!
